hi few months ago i put new alternator 98 accord ex v6 (pain in a.. to get it )they put it on .and today when i was driving and put the blinker on the ligths dim for 1 sec i press brake dim again fan cam on ligths dim 1 sec and back to normal i never see that before and is anoying me when i got home a check if the alternator is working but is working fine .so what do you people think what could be the problem please let me know

maek sure you had the right type of alternator installed. It might not be putting out enuf amperage for you or it might just have a bad connection on it. What you should do is take a multimeter and measure the voltage accross your battery while the car is on and at idle and then also while the car is at like 3k rpm.

if it's just not putting enuf power out, take it back and tell them to clean the connects on the alternator terminals or to give u one that puts out what it should.

i measure the volts and they stay at 13.6-14.0 i never replace the battery in the car it still has the original battery you think that may be the problem 98 accord

 

the battery works as a capacitor, so it could be the problem, but you would know because the car wouldn't start right.

the car starts fine but the little green dot on battery is black now
