Default Do I need a Camber Kit?

When I bought my Accord it was already lowered. After much research I am pretty sure they are Sprint Springs with a 2.25" drop. I have noticed when I turn at slow speeds (less than 20mph) my tires squeal a little when it seems like they shouldn't (YES I have checked the tire pressure). I have Goodyear LS (stock size) on stock rims with about 50% life left. Now maybe I am still used to my 98 Prelude SH which could take the same corners at 40 without a sound from the tires. I still don't think that they should squeal so easily, which makes me think I may need a camber kit. How can I tell if my car already has a camber kit? Also I have noticed my steering wheel shakes when I go over 60mph. If I let go of the steering wheel it shakes fast from left to right like it is something in the steering but it still turns fine and everything. Thanks for any help!

The squealing has nothing to do with a camber kit in this case. Lowering the car will result in increased negative camber, but this increased negative camber actually increases cornering grip because the increased negative camber puts more on the contact patch on the ground during corner loading. That's why road racers and autocrossers will have lots more negative camber than stock.

So it's probably your tires.

Have you had alignment that told you what your camber is at right now?

If not, post up some decent pics and try to show what the camber looks like.

Get a wheel alignment first. After that, make sure you get the specs (results) to see how much negative camber (if any) you have. As previously stated, negative camber is good for cornering, but too much will prematurely destroy your tires

Your drop is in that zone, your wallet zone, you need a camber kit. I took a car in once that was squeeling real bad, H&R springs 2.5 drop all around on my RSX Type S. They could not even align it, needed a camber kit. Nice of them not to charge me, because the freakin camber kits cost a couple of hundred dollars for the front and rear. More expensive now. SPC, Eibach, Ingaslas...can't spell that one...look on ebay, and a couple of other places..TAS auto, Tirerack.com. Don't go for a cheap one, like OBX, you'll pay twice if you do. Just my opinion

the OBX design looks better than the ingalls because ingalls pushes the control arm too far out and will allow it to bang the inner wall.

should go for a skunk2 or balljoint type. for the ball joint type, i heard you need to buy a 5th gen UCA because the 4th gens ones dont have removable ball joints.

wedley2...true. Now that I recall in my half stupor, some places like I think TAS Auto actually tell ya to look out, you can have some serious clearance issues when you install certain types of camber kits, especially front ones. I also noticed that some kits have different adjustments and therefore different clearance issues. Price goes up too.

whoops, forgot you had a 6th gen...my opinion does count :exnbp:
my friend has rear camber links from ingalls and bought a ball joint one for the front but never used them.
i might be able to get you to sell them to ya? it is ingalls as well.

Took my car in today, finally. $450 later I found out I DON'T need a camber kit, the Toe just needed to be adjusted and I needed new front tires and brakes (both insides of the front tires were worn down to the steel belt). Now steering wheel doesn't shake and the tires don't squeal when I turn. Thanks for all the help, I am just glad I finally got my car fixed and they told me everything looked really good on my car. One last thing when I picked up my car the guy helping said "That's a Nice car." I said "Thanks" then he said "Thats a really nice car!". Made my day.
