Default Bad Oil Pump?

well i got to work and was a little early so decided id wait till it was time to clock in, when i got out of the car i saw a huge puddle of oil!!! all the oil that was in the engine came pouring out. i have no clue what this might be. first thing that popped into my head was the oil pump since the oil seems to be gushing out from the crankshaft pulley. im not to sure if thats what it is or what so i was wondering if anyone here ever had this happen to them ,and what was their solution to the problem. can it be a gasket? how much will it cost to get a new oil pump installed? how hard is it to change if i do it myself?
im kinda in a rush right now so i didnt have time to do a search
thanks guys

EDIT: i know its not the oil pan gasket, not the head valve cover gasket, not the oil pan drain plug.

It helps to tell us what kind of car you have. It could be a lot of things.

96accord here, i had exact problem oil coming out from same place like crazy and it was something with the oil pump, it was a seal like a ring that blew out. i know this part is supposed to be change when u do the timing belt job.

There is the crankshaft, balance shaft, and camshaft oil seals that are located under the timing belt cover. If its coming from the crankshaft area it can possibly be the crankshaft or balance shaft seals. I am not sure about the 95 Accords but some of the 94 Accords had a recall on the balance shaft seal. Yours could be the same since they are the same 5th gen Accords. I had the seals on my 94 Accord changed. My leak wasn't that bad luckily. There can be other causes for your leak too.

i didnt pay anything because the mechanic who had work on my car the day before was responsible. i also had it towed.

u better take it to a shop that u can trust or the dealer. I'm guessing around $100 - $200 max. is all labor work, the part is 50cents compare to labor.

well i took her to my uncle shop today so shes getting fixed up proper! one of the seals went bad. so they gonna change all the seals and maybe the water pump and timing belt since it was my dads car before he sold it to me, and he doesnt remember if he had it changed or not, so hopefully my uncle will change that too. it was a real pain in the ass gettin it to his shop tho. i couldnt find any tow truck at 8am.(when you dont need them they are parked on almost every corner!!) so i ended up buying a lil tow kit and attached it to the hitch on my dads van. i had to call off work !! thank god i got sick hours!!
hopefully shell be back by tomorro :goodjob:
