Default 96 Accord hesitates after sitting

My mother has a 96 Accord LX (automatic trans) and the dealer can't seem to figure out what's wrong. Car has 93,000 miles on it and has been well maintained.

After driving a bit and then turning off the car for 30 min or so, and then starting it again it hesitates/loses power for about 3 blocks, then runs fine.

The dealer relplaced fuel regulator, teperature probe, cleaned the injectors, replaced ERG valve.

hesitates? or runs on 3 cylinders?

Sounds like exactly how my ECU started to fail. Make sure that their CEL isn't burnt out....

I had the same problem with my 94 prizm. It turns out that it was a very dirty fuel pump. I think it is inside the fuel tank or near it, not sure though. I would always wait until the tank was empty to fill it up again and kept feeding my car dirty fuel. It might be that, worth checking out.

The car runs really sluggish for those three blocks or so. Hesitation might not be the right word. It's bad enough that she's leery of pulling out onto busy roads for fear of being rearended.

What is the CEL?

Thanks for the ideas.

Check engine light, sometimes it burns out...then honda doesn't bother checking to see if the ECU threw a code.

You could bring it to Auto Zone and they can plug it in, If the light is burnt out they should still be able to get a code. I had the same problem, only it didn't happen as often,They first replaced the EGR Valve but that didn't do much, Turns out it was The EGR Valve ports where clogged, just need to be cleaned, ran $200 at my Dealership, but my Check Engine light was on.
