I know now I shouldn't have chopped them connectors off! Anyway, there were no rear speakers to begin with so I don't think I've caused too much damage.... Any suggestions on the Bass problem....?

 

yeah, get speakers that put out bass

 

If each individually puts out more bass than the 2 together then the speakers are out of phase. The positive and negative wires on one of the speakers is incorrect. Thus instead of pushing the cone outward to produce bass it sucks it in.

 

Any idea how I could find which speaker is connected wrongly? Individually, both put out decent bass, but together they suck!

 

Same problem with the new speakers, so it's definately a wiring problem...

 

Apologies for reviving an old thread, but I couldn't find pertinent information besides this thread after searching the forums. I too have just purchased an 07 Accord VP, and I would like to add additional speakers.

- How can I hook up the rear 6x9's? They appear to be prewired and all I would need to do is screw in the speakers and attach the connectors
- Can I add tweeters to the front, near the A-pillars? It appears there's a grill at each corner, but obviously, no speakers are actually sitting under them. I've read somewhere that the head unit in the VP only has 4 channel outputs instead of 6. Is this true?
