Default rotors....drilled / slotted / blanks ??

Hey everyone....I'm looking to get new rotors and brake pads for my 4 bangin 95 accord EX.

I have heard that brembo blanks would be the best way to go...i'm just wondering if there are any advantages to drilled/slotted rotors besides looks and cooling. I guess I could be considered an agressive driver, but not really a late braker. Which rotor would be less likely to warp....as that has been my biggest problem with stock rotors. As for the pads, are ceramic pads ideal?

Any info/experiences, as well as places to purchase, would be helpful...thanks

I cracked my cross drilled, so i went to slotted, but I think they may be warping slightly. I say slotted or blanks.

blanks would probably be best...slotted or cross-drilled are for cooling, and normal driving, and even pushing a lightly modded car won't get the rotors hot enough to merrit slotted or cross drilled...the general consensus is to get some quality blank rotors with quality pads and it'll make a good improvement. key is quality!

Do not fall for those "Brembo cross drilled and slotted" scams. Resellers puchase Brembo blanks, then do their own brand of machining to them. These are the type of parts that have high failure rates and crack under hard driving.

Your best bet is to get a set of quality pads and Brembo or OEM blanks.

as long u get some brand name i dont think there will be a problem, imagine u get into a accident because the rotors broke mmmm i smell sue all over.

Just remember that you cant turn crossed drilled or slotted rotors so once they warp then you have to buy a new pair so the obvious choice would be the Brembo blanks.

There are some brake shops that claim that they can turn drilled, slotted, or grooved rotors but I'd be concerned as to what happens to the chamfered edges of the holes, slots, or grooves. Believe that they'd then be more like a 'cheese grater' on your pads after they were turned.

Brembo does make a slotted rotor, and a drilled rotor, as well as blanks. They do not make a drilled & slotted rotor, so don't believe the fly-by-night eBay sellers that claim that they are offering 'genuine Brembo drilled and slotted rotors' - they may start w/ Brembo blanks, but have some shop do the drilling and milling. Perhaps they even start w/ just Brembo boxes ? hmmmm? And good luck ever pursuing any legal remedy against those sellers if you should have an accident. Drilled & slotted rotors on a street driven Honda/Acura is a waste of money, as well as being a long time potential pain in the butt, with chewing up rotors, and the ever-present dirt and rust that forms in the slots, grooves, dimples, or holes.
