yea, if you cant open the door on the outside then it would be the mechanism or maybe something was caught?

Yeah i went to a place, and they told me that i have to drill a hole to release the lever. But when i drill this hole my door wont close at all anymore until i take it apart and install a new latch. Now i need some pictures of where to drill at, if anyone knows where i can find these, that would help out a lot. Or if anyone has ever did this, can you please give me some advise. Otherwise, the labor for the place to do it would be 180 bucks plus the cost of the part which is 89 bucks (why the hell is it so expensive?!?!?!)

Edit: I took the plastic covering on the inner door off, and there is a big hole (god, hondas are made so cheaply!) where you can see straight into the door. So now i can pretty much see the whole mechanism that keeps the door shut. But i still do not know where to drill to release it from its closed position.

...and if the hole wasn't there, you wouldn't be able to...

If you can fit a pair of pliers in there you should be able to pull the cable that the door handle is disconnected from to unlock the door...unless the cable seperated from the latch?

that hole or cable thats connected to the door handle has nothing to do with the door not opening. Ive said about 4 times that its not that part of the door thats broken, its something inside the latch mechanism that is broken. Because when i pull the cable, the gold levers move, but dont rotate the mechanism that holds the actual door closed. I need to drill a hole in it to release it from its closed state.

So let me get this a little bit clearer for people, because i think its a little hard to understand. There are 4 parts that open and close the door. There is the handle, the handle is connected to a cable, the cable pulls the lever, the lever supose to trigger the latch mechanism (looks like a white grenade) to rotate and open/close. So my problem is that the white mechanism has some kind of fault in it, and its not working.

This is another common accord problem. The door latch assembly just breaks and makes the door "lock" for good. You have to remove the inner door panel (probably will rip/break whatever) then grind or drill the assembly. If whoever does it isn't careful you'll marr/put a hole through/ scratch the inner door jam. Usually it's like a 90-93 accord problem though....
