I installed an amp to my speakers inside my doors (had to take my door panel off to do it) and everything was working fine for about a week or two. Then i tried to get outta my car one day, and BONK my door wouldnt. So now my driverside door is stuck closed and i cant open it at all. So i went to the honda dealership and they said it would cost 700 bucks to fix!!! Now the dude told me that if i somehow could take the inner-door panel off (he says sometimes they can do it without breaking it off) then i would save 184 bucks. So im not sure what the fuck to do, because i just dont have 700 or even 416 to pay on a stuck door. So if anyone can help me, id give them oral pleasure in return.



Edit: i was just kidding about the oral pleasure, but the backdoor is totally open for buisness.

 

i had this same problem when i was checking out my speaker size of the front speaker on my accord. i didn't find out until the nesxt day when my brother was locked in. but their is somethng right around where the door handle is that you need to connect again, i forget exactly but its their just connect it and you should be fine if thats what the prob was, if not sorry dude

 

But how do i get to that, my door is fully assembled. I dont know how to get the inner layer of my door off to get to it. How did you do it? And is it something mechanical or is it something electrical that i have to reconnect? Because i can see all the little gears working when i try to open the door (i took the middle linner off when the door has a seal that is flush with the window).

 

i have a 91 accord ex, so maybe its different but it was just a simple rod or something that a had to connect to something else in order to make the handle from the inside work. i was able to open it from the outside, are you able to on your car? maybe its two different problems

im going to install my front speakers soon so i will have to do it again and i will tell you in more detail after i do that.

it was behind the door handle fixture on my car, not any door panels, something easy to get to, i think i probably had to remove one screw to pop it off, it was a little while ago so i dont exactly remember, i hope that helps, again our cars might be to different, but i will install my speaker within the next few days, i'll be able to update you with more info then

 

I know on my 01 coupe you can pull off the inner door handle without completely removing the door panel. Its just 1 screw. Then maybe u can tug on the rod behind it and open it.

 

Its not the rod behind the door hinge. I took off the window linner, and looked down into my door. I can see the long metal rob that connects to my handle, and it is moving fine. I think its the actual mechanism that keeps the door open/closed that is broken.

 

You sure its fully connected to the door handle itself?? Mine popped out on my 96. I removed the door handle by taking out that one screw, and then managed to pop it back in. Maybe you should take your handle off to check it better. If it is still connected at that end, maybe you can check and see if its still connected on the other end.
