Sorry I did not search fast enough for you, but you SAW the kinds of mixed-up answers I was getting in here.....
I'm not the first person in this thread to tell you that it's been talked about many times before.

I really did not need all the threads you provided in order for me to try and read through all that because most of it is back and forth opinionated tennis gaming in my own opinion.

There were PLENTY of other posters who DID NOT "instruct me" that this was discussed before, but merely, in a very civil tongue, suggested that PERHAPS super unleaded is a bit of a waste of cash for this engine; others suggested the VTEC motor may demand this premium gas. No one really gave a definitive answer to the question, so I will skip your rhetoric and ask it again to other members of the board:

If another sixth generation Accord V-6 owner visiting this forum is following this thread, can any of you give me an idea of what fuel you are running in your rides and WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BE putting in these cars? Is premium too rich for the V-6's? Is regular unleaded sufficient enough?

The way I'm reading your responses it seems as though you are trying to find an excuse to use premium. what do you hope to gain by using premium? your not going to gain any hp at all and your milage won't be effected. so why would you want to pay more money for a product that work just as well as the cheaper alternative. Common sense would tell me to use the cheaper product that does the job just as well as the more expensive product. its like going to the grocery store and buying organic eggs over regular eggs. The organic eggs are not going to make me superman so I'll do the smart thing and get the regular eggs and save myself some money.

If you want to clean up stuff every once in awhile, don't use high-octane to do that. Pour a bottle of Techron (or whatever's your favorite stuff) into the tank. Higher octane & better cleaning are two completely different things.

i didnt bother to read through all the responses but from what i know you CAN run it lower than recomended octance, you just cant rag the engine out. if your just crusin along from work and back, not racing or pushing the car, then you'll be fine. but if you wanna have some fun with the car, then put in the recomended octane.
oh, and dont forget to push it once in a while to dump your carbon build up

How about you don't put additives in the engine at all as they gas already has them and if it running fine their is no need to try them. Its the fuel filters job to filter out the dirt.

You're a pretty strange dude. Don't get so defensive, I was merely pointing out that the answer is in the forum archives and can easily be searched. A 30 second search brought up 10 times more information that these guys told you. I could waste my time and re-type what I've already read and said in previous threads, but why bother when it's all there and a simple reminder to search will suffice?

The general rule... Unless your car calls for "Premium only" gas, run the regular stuff. The premium is NOT worth the money.
