Some Suspension/Wheel questions
I meant to put a "?" by my 1/4" comment. I believe they are .25. You can double check at tirerack.com.
I guess my main point was that you don't want to go slamming your car on OEM struts. The H&Rs or something similar would probably still keep you in the OEM range without getting radical. And if you weren't ready to go all out on a suspension set-up and your struts were about ready to be replaced anyway, you could maybe do some KYB GR-2s on a budget. They are a very good OEM replacement and may even be a little better in ride quality than OEM. The GR-2s would be just fine with something like the H&Rs with a mild drop.
However, if you want to slam your car, then you'll need to have a set-up to support that and OEM will not.

If you want to go more radical than this, then you're going to need to go to performance struts capable of handling the set-up, etc.
We're putting adjustable Konis with Ground Control coilover kits on our Miata for Autocross. When you do something like this, then you're starting to get into the more serious suspension set-ups. The Ground Control coilover kits are cool because you can adapt them to the shocks you have enabling you not to have to pay the $1000-1800 for a full coilover system. Plus, the Ground Controls use Eibach springs and allow you to order them in increments of 25lb for the compression rate. It's a very nice set-up. Now, it's off to the alignment shop....

I was just going to use eibachs with honda struts. mine are pretty new and all highway usage and a friend with a 95 ex with the same setup rides perfect for me. hes a honda guy and works for honda too.
you could consider the pro-kit/kyb agx package for $625: http://www.coximport.com/store/KE027
i bought my springs there, the service is excellent.
although the drop doesn't look very good, i heard the ride is comparable to stock.
