I would like to get a different cluster for mine because with the h22a it just inst right red says 6600 and I can rev to 8500 if wanted. I've asked someone before on the superhonda forums about putting a 97+ lude cluster in but just got that it would be hard to wire. With the lude cluster it has glowing needles does the 7th gen accords? If anyone has a pic of a manual cluster for the 7th gen could ya post it?

you didn't manage to get the full auto-climate control thing to work, did you?

i'll keep the ABS thing in mind if i decide to do it. was the rest of the wiring pretty straightforward? any trickiness in getting the digital display to work, or is it all just splicing wires?

yes it all works fine except I get a check code for temp control (faulty servo) if i check just have to replace the temp servo with the 6th gen one or live with the code is all , the temp unit was cut in half and mated witht he 5th gen one

heres a few pics I took of the back of the controls it shows the unit cut and ran to make a functional unit..one thing I found out after the fact was the 6tn gen servos the mode one took a month to get working the temp one is a 97 CL servo which is bolt in works fine just throws a check code ..I will put the 6th gen servo laterwhen I figure out arm radius .

i was wondering about the temperature knob.. since it's a pull-cable in the 5th gen, does that mean you had to install a motor somewhere to get the auto functionality? this sounds like a really great project, but i'm not sure if i have the patience and commitment to see it through...

yes I used a 97 CL servo motor and arm it's bolt in ,only problem is it throws a code because the values are wrong but works fine ..but it's not like a check engine light- you have to hold the auto and off button together for the code to show , but will fix it when I fugure how to retrofit the 6th gen one in as I had to retrofit the 6th mode select motor and cut a 2k civic blower motor resistor and glue it into a CL resistor mount as the 6th gen the fan is varable speed not 4 speed like the 5th gen. you need alot of patience and commitment + very good soldering skills as you have to solider hair line wires in small double sides circut boards it took my 1 month just to do that alone and 1.5 months to get the mode motor to fit and swing right.. it was harder to do then my ABS brake instalation .

By any chance do you have pics of the cluster at night with the lights on? Good job with the cluster. Any other clusters that will fit into a5th gen accord?

not right now but will take some this weekend , I think the 7th gen one is very close if not a better fit even but the problem is it's a multiplexed unit (self contailed computer with diagnostic)so extensive mods to the gauge circuitry is needed might try that one if I can get my hands on a few sets as most likely one will blow up as it's not a simple wire swap job like the 6th gen one was only needing 2 changes
