I think it can be done as they are about the same size , I put a 6th gen one in my 5th gen it I had to cut the top of the 6th gen gauge cluster to make it fit just remember that you have to rewire the plugs in

the 6th gen you want to use is the 98-99 style as the 00-02 the temp gauge will not work right, I dremel tool to shave the clear plastic on the very top of the gauge if you put the cluster up to the 5th gen bezel you will see how much to shave be careful as the clear lense is very easy to crack ,as for wireing you just have to repin the 3 plugs (I cut up a 6th gen dash harness and 5th gen gauge cluster made a jumper harness) and diagram for both cars the 2 problems you will run in is if you have a EX the abs light circut on the gauge has to be moded and the other is the brake light out warning unit in the back right tail light has to be replaced with a 6th gen one or the wire removed .

accordsir1: it's probably possible, at least electrically. i don't know if they'll fit, tho. you may just have to try it and find out the wiring process might not be fun, but shouldn't be that hard. there's nothing dramatically different between the two (i think).

stereo: holy shit that is sweet. i see you got the climate control from a 6th also. does that work, too??? the 6th gen gauges might look a little more tempting than the prelude gauge swap... is it possible to do a DIY or writeup on the mods to the ABS and brake light circuits? or can i e-mail you about it??

shit man, that's really nice..

yes the climate controls do work.. that was a pain in the butt and still has a few bugs that have to be ironed out yet , as for the gauges I did it last year cannot remember the pin outs but as for the ABS you have to sever the pcb on the neg. side of the bulb and sever C11 run a wire from the bulb side to the C11 terminal , as for the brake light failure you have to use one from the 6th gen , for now I just pulled out the wht/grn on the left taillight for now but will install the 6g sensor when I have time as i'm trying to put a 99 lude SS shifter in right now for the H22a4 swap
