I have an 05 with the 2.4. Impressed with the engine at highway speed. If your looking for speed, buy a Corvette or Mustang. Honda's don't have much torque. Great engines for everyday driving however, with good gas mileage and strong reliability. I said I would never by a 4cylinder again, but after driving this one, I changed my mind.

'01 EX V6, 131k, no tranny issues. Friend with 01 LX V6 purchased the same week as mine had the TCS light coming on, and the entire trans was replaced within the first month. No mention of repairing, they just replaced it. She has 95k on it now, and it's as smooth as mine.

Buy the 4 cyl manual then you wont have to worry about tranny issues but as far as the 4 cyl auto having the same problems as the 6 cyl I dont think so. BMW020987 if your 150 hp auto 4 cyl can smoke V6's then those guys either cant drive or you have a turbo in there because its no way possible that is true. I have the manual trans 4 cyl and its peppy but not nearly as fast as my wifes 00 3.2 TL auto.

At 50k miles, my wife's '02 Accord w/ an I4/5 speed manual has been the most relaible & cost free car I've ever owned (and that # is over 60 cars between us). Only costs have been for routine oil, filters, one set of tires, and coolant change. No alignments since new, no clutch adjustment, has original brake pads, etc. Not a penny more. Handles a bit better than a V6, but not as fast, esp. mid range, due to less torque & hp than V6. Could use more wheel/tire, and OEM tires sucked. FYI - the sixth gen I4 has 15" wheels (and 65 series tires) as orig. equipment, not 16", which only came on the V6s. And the I4 has a 4 bolt lug pattern, while the V6 has 5 lugs per wheel. . .

My sister has the V6 EX '02 Sedan, I have the '00 EX couple manual 4cyl.

I love them both the same, I'll take the 4 any day if I can row the gears but her V6 has been a super dependable car...no tranny issues 100k mi on the clock.

4cyl Accord (6th gen) 150hp (148-ULEV)
V6 3.2TL (225hp)

Although the TL and Accord have the sane engine, the TL has more displacement.

I have the 4cyl manual, and with my mods I can hang with the Accord V6 for a little bit, Especially during the launch, and at highway runs, but only for a little bit on the highway cause they'll eventually pull. But No way can a stock 4cyl smoke a V6 unless he has some type of force induction. Even with bolt ons, it would still be hard
