I bought them in December, and on Tuesday night one of them blew..

So okay not that bad, i still have one....

Then tonight i was cleaning snow off my car and thought snow was covering the headlight....wrong it was out too!!

So i drove around with my high beams on all night. :upset:

I thought theyd last longer than this

did you touch them when installing them or use gloves or something when installing?

your hands can put grease on the bulb which will shorten the lifespan.

a lightbulb just went out on the camry yesturday also, lol

Fukk Silverstars. They were too yellow and returned them the next day. Got me a pair of generic hyper whites at Pepboys.

i'd have to say this is a common problem with these bulbs.

in my brother's 02 Xterra, he's gone though 3 bulbs in under 18 months. we're not sloppy at all, we never touched the bulb, and triple checked the install.

the light output is great, but we're constantly changing these damn things.

Relly??? oh... so i guess the snow made my headlights cold, then warm, so they blew. that sucks

I also have silverstars, and their life span really sucks. I think my right one lasted about 6 months and my left one about 7 months. What somebody said earlier, I think it has something to do with temperature or humidity or something. Because both time when they blew was right when I turned them on, On a cold snowy type day.
