Default Tsx Tire Bubble Problems

I bought my tsx in June 2003 and I love the car!. In April 2004, I had a blow out because of a bubble on the tire. In September 2004, Another tire developed a bubble on the side wall. Now in January a different tire has a bubble on the side wall. The dealer says its my driving habits, but these have not changed. I have never had a bubble on the sidewall of a tire in 25 years+ driving. Why now? Is the TSX not suitable for everyday highway or is there a suspesion problem? Any insight would be appreciated because Honda refuses to admit any responiability.

Thanks
Mel

I only have one dumb question...do you have plenty of air in the tires?

Also, do you go thru pot holes quite often, these bubbles usually develop when not enough air is in the tires and a lot of weight has been placed on the car, and when you constantly hit bumps on the road.

Another thing, does your steering wheel shake when you are driving at different speeds, like when you have a flat tire?

Default Yea Ive done that

Yes the tire pressure is normal, and the road conditions are the same as my other cars with no bubbles. Speed bumps , I slow down on just like my other cars. Weird huh.

Where are you? USA?

Don't go to Honda. Tires are NEVER covered by the car's warranty. The tire warranty always comes from the tire manufacturer.

Sounds like bad tires, broken belts turn into bubbles. If this is so Honda should do something about it. It would be a factory defect. RECALL!!!!

Broken belt inside the tire as a result of a rather severe and sharp impact. I had a tire bubble because I ran over a 4" median doing 15 MPH, I would suspect that you or someone driving your car hit something similiar.

i had brand new toyos a few months ago. and i had a blow out right on the sidewall. no bubble. just went. and that was because the belts were weak in that area for some reason. anyways, i got a new tire for nothing. the manufacturer should have some kind of warranty. and the honda dealership should help you out. maybe

With low profile tires you have to watch out for every pot hole in the road. Either you or someone else that drives your car is hitting pot holes and if you hit it hard enough it will cause the bubble in the tire. Next time you see a hole in the road slow down or go around it.

Your car has low profile tires.

Potholes, road debris, all can cause bubbles in your sidewalls. Its the trade off made for better handling, and style. The only thing you can do is to keep your tires properly inflated, and to try and avoid the road hazards. Some tires are more prone to bubble than others, in your case, maybe you should thinking about getting new tires from a tire store, and getting their road hazard protection package. The dealer doesnt have any responibility for road hazard damage just like they dont have any responsibility from someone hitting your car.

Call the tire manufacturer, also if you talk to Honda forcefully they will do something. Explain to them in curt words that it is their issue and if you get into an accident as a result it will be a worse issue. I've had bubbling issues on my BF Goodrich Excentias and they were replaced. Walmart wouldn't replace them at first, I just called BFG and told them and it got taken care of the next day.
