If you get decent quality wheels and have the tires mounted and balanced by people who know what they are doing, it's a non issue. They'll work just as good as the stock wheels. If you get larger wheels, your sidewall height of the tire will be smaller to keep the same overall diameter which will be less forgiving and you'll feel the road more, but it shouldn't be a vibration issue.

Some good reading for you: http://www.tirerack.com/about/techcenter.jsp Check out the "plus sizing" section specifically.

I want to get mine balanced because over 60mph I get this slight vibration in the driving wheel which sucks.

I still can't figure out why yall put these wheels are your cars!

(Attached is a pic of my wheels)
I don't see why they wouldn't be able to balance them, I'd take them to a different shop. I've had 4 different wheels on my car besides the stock ones, never had a problem getting them balanced. Tires can play just as much of a role in if a wheel/tire combo is balanced. Some tires are more balanced than others, that might be a factor.

So did you buy your car with the aftermarket wheels (since you said you can't "figure out why people put these wheels on your cars")? Larger and wider wheels let you get more rubber on the ground (wider) for more grip an the shorter sidewall reduces body roll for better handling. Plus they look a lot better than 15 inch wheels.

Default year round tires

I'm wondering if anyone could comment on some decent performing all year tires to replace my stock MXV's I live in SLC, Utah, which is HOT in the summer and Snowy and icy in the winter. I have a 2002 sedan EX.. On my previous Honda I run Yoko's and they were great but I haven't had enough time to follow tires.. I was wondering if anyone here could offer some advice.. Thanks..

I've had terrific performance from my Bridgestone RE750s, although I have not driven them in the snow (don't get much of that down here). They have been on a gen6 Accord coupe that still has the OEM 15" wheels, but rather than use the stock size 195-65x15s, I had 205-60x15s mounted that are very close to the original spec diameter. I immediatley noticed better overall ride & handling, crisper turnin, low noise even after getting some miles on them, and much improved wet weather cornering and braking. The car is lowered approx 1.5"-2" and I've not had any inside camber wear, even though I do not have camber kits front or rear. [I'm switching to 16" wheels soon - maybe 17"s, as I'm having difficulty locating proper offset in 16" sized wheels - see other thread re: that topic]
