Default calipers???

i was in my car yesterday night and when i smashed the brake pedal in and released it..i heard a funny noise coming from the front of the car. i know for sure its comming from the caliper. i dont know how to describe the noise... the sound sounds like... when you watch those cartoons...on a pirate ship when you hear it moving back and forth like a creeaaakkkingg noise? almost springy sticky like. im going to change all four rotors and pads...and i hope i dont have to change the front calipers too.. someone help me out? thanks
its a 95 honda accord ex 2.2l vtec 4 door, 4 wheel disc rotors.

It sounds like your brake pads are low, either the pads are starting to grind against the rotors or your pads have sensors on them and they're making noise. I would change the pads and rotors like you said above and see if that solves the problem, I would also change the brake fluid too.

Creaking noises when you press the brake hard while stopped? First I'd take the calipers off & check the caliper slide pins. Maybe they need grease? Clean up the crud & make sure the pads move nice in the caliper brackets - they shouldn't be wedged in tightly. Then maybe the anti-rattle springs or something? See if there's anyplace rubbing that could use a little grease or anti-seize??

Shaking while driving - have the rotors resurfaced. If they're so bad you need new ones, the shop's supposed to refuse to resurface them...

Know how to bleed the brakes? Flushing is just like that except...
Get a turkey baster & then never put it back in the kitchen...
Suck the old fluid out of the MC because that's where it has picked up moisture & crud. Then push/twist the pistons in to make room for the new pads. Suck out a little more fluid.

Fill the reservoir with fresh fluid. Bleed the brakes, but you don't stop when the bubbles are gone. You keep going until the fluid coming out of each caliper is nice & clean & fresh. Maybe 1/2 liter from each rear, a bit less from each front.

Got ABS? If it's got a separate reservoir, I think I've posted (somewhere) how to bleed that.

If it shakes the stering wheel when you're breaking it sounds like you have a heat warp in a rotor. It happened to me out of the blue one day and from then on it shook real bad when breaking. Changed the rotors out and it rode smooth. $20 to get rid of the shakes... pretty good deal.

Default WarPeD?!?!?!?

Him smashing the brakes one time would not warp the rotors though, thats mostly for fools who drive around and forget to release their e-brake. I don't know what it might be, but I'm pretty sure thats not it.

Here's the procedure for an Integra. I bet it's about the same for an Accord. Beginning in '98 there's a whole different system, just in case someone else finds this thread...

That just says how to bleed it. What you can do is use that method to pump it empty (don't refill the reservoir). Then fill the reservoir with fresh fluid & bleed it a few times.
