has anyone tried to convert the 03 accord steering wheel into a 98-02?? are the air bag plugs the same?

 

Im not too sure on if it will fit but if it does you need the air bag also and that will cost just get the TLS/CLS or 01-02 MDX steering wheel fits perfectly I have it in my 01 Accord and it uses your existing air bag.

 

hey thanks,what year tls or cls should I look for and are you referring to the leather wrapped wheel? How about the 04 TL? I can get one of those pretty cheap.

 

Any year TL-S or CL-S will work, because they all had the same steering wheel. The new '04 TL is different.

I got my TL-S wheel for my 6th gen Accord for $50 new in the plastic. I've seen them go on ebay for about that. They only come in black. You can also use pre-2003 MDX wheels (which come in tan) from what I've heard, but make certain before you buy.

If you do crazy and swap to an '03 Accord steering wheel and airbag make sure you get a 3-spoke one, they are sweet.

But for the money, you can't beat the TL-S steering wheel. I love mine, best $50 I ever spent on my car.

I have a brand new 2004-05 MDX black leather steering wheel that i bought. But,from the link you posted this wheel's center bracket is different and doesn't have the holes for the airbag mounts on either side. damn,anybody need an 04-05 mdx leather steering wheel?
