Default Amsoil 0w-30

Has anyone tried AMSOIL products? (www.amsoil.com) is it good? they say the service life of their motor oil is a year or 35000 miles whichever comes first.
what you guys think?

Is their advertisement sucking you towards them?
I guess if you drive your car 5 miles a week for 52 weeks a yr than yeah go for it.
I never heard of a motor oil that could allow you to drive up to 35000miles without changing.

plus I believe 0w-30 is thin oil so it will probably burn even faster.

amsoil is a great oil but a little on the expensive side. I tried it once and it's not that bad. So far the best oil that shows a greater effect on my car is Royal Purple. Mobil1 is also good. Just use 5w-30 and your fine. I want to try some redline motoroil but that is a little $$ also.

I thought Royal Purple IS another name for AMSoil where AMSoil is the generic name. Nevertheless, AMSoil WORKS and has been proven many times over and over again. Check with them to see which product is right for your car (due to milage, vehicle type, etc.)

my friend tried AMSOIL 0w30 on his 99 camry twice, around 6k-7k and send the oil sample to a third-party testing institute. the results were all good, the oil was still very clean and useable. i didn't believe in him, i was just like flyromeo3 back in that time my friend showed me his AMSOIL testing but it looks like it's customers proven....
the only thing that i don't understand is that if it's so good that can beat every other oil maker in the market, why they never show up even once on national tv? or some retail stores like pepboys, autozone?

0w30 is for the hybrids. It would be way to thin for any other honda

AMSoil is like the generic brand. Royal Purple is the same thing but a branded one.

And that life doesnt excuse you from filter changes, so whats the point? Changing oil is a quick easy way to prolong your cars health.

but i don't see anything like Roal Purple at pepboys or autozone....

you can simply replace the filter without changing the oil. fram X2 filter can last 7000 miles. that saves me some undercar work in the freakn' winter...

0w30 helps the car start up easier and heat up quicker (under 0F to -10F in general). as long as you don't step on it, the car will be fine (you wouldn't speed up to 60 MPH in the storm anyways )
