you can simply replace the filter without changing the oil. fram X2 filter can last 7000 miles. that saves me some undercar work in the freakn' winter...
0w30 helps the car start up easier and heat up quicker (under 0F to -10F in general). as long as you don't step on it, the car will be fine (you wouldn't speed up to 60 MPH in the storm anyways
