unless your doing some serious motor work don't waste your money. But if you are planning on a slow build then do the AEM pullies instead and leave the crank pully stock. I think you have to get ride of the harmonic balancer and you need that for your motor.

I dunno how you would go about ordering parts that you dont even know what they are, But anyways, the AEM kit replaces the power steering and alternator pulley and comes with new belts. Dont buy a kit that replaces the crank pulley.

Theres been alot of debate on the web about how safe Underdrive Crank pullies are. Many say they'll beat the hell out of your bearings, and slowly kill your engine.

Not getting into that though, and you can do searches about that matter. Since you asked, the Crank Pulley is a bear to get of the car. Unless you have access to air tools, I woudlnt even try it yourself.

Also without the crank pulley, you'd be lucky to get a couple of horses from the other 2. Most consider them more cosmetic than real power adders.

I have a crank pully on my h22a. I have noticed very little by installing it. But i didnt have p/s or ac either. I do know if your harmonic balancer has a big ass chunk missing out of it the engine vibrates really bad. (i know because mine had a chunk out of it what i dont know is how it got like that. Thats y i changed to the small crank pully.) It actually works as a harmonic balancer because once installed my engine quit vibarating. Its actually VERY EASY to change. All you need is a prybar, 1/2 drive ratchet, a 19mm socket, a small 1/2 extention, and a foot long pipe that can just barely fit on the end of the ratchet. Take all your belts off and then stick the prybar into the opening of the transmission(where you would check the timing) and brace it into the teeth of the flywheel. Take your 1/2 ratchet with the pipe for added leverage put your 19mm with the extention on the crank bolt and start pullinor pushing it will take a little bit of effort but once you break it loose its smooth sailing from there. Intallation is reverse of removal. Just MAKE SURE the little pin hole in the center of the pully is lined up or you will put it on crooked and you will fu*k some sh*t up.

Are you talking about a flywheel inspection cover? Where would I find such a beast on a '98 Accord 4 cyl?

no its right above where you would find the engine code, so i guess the opening is in the engine not in the transmission. Anyway there is usually a little black rubber stop that you have to pull out to see it. Here is a pic of what you are looking for. Just stick the prybar in the hole and brace against the teeth of the flywheel and the engine block.
