Hrm...
It appears upon inspection that I don't have a hole like the one pictured on my block. I noticed yours is an H22A1, this one is an F23A1. Perhaps this model doesn't have that?
I've gotta find SOME way to get this @#()!# crankshaft pulley off - I've even heated it with a torch and hit it with an impact wrench @175psi and it's not came loose.

:werd: it was on my f22a1 and its also on my boys f22b1. I havent had a chance to look at a f23a1 i just figured it would be the same. Ill do some research and get back to you on that.

According to the Honda Service Dept. (Who were complete jerks, I'm tempted to go over there and crack some skulls) there isn't any such think on that car. Basically, he just said "they're on there tight". I asked him if there were any special tools or tips, and he said "nope".

ok did you try the 1/2in ratchet with a longer pipe. If its in gear and on the ground with the e-brake up you should be able to break it loose. DONT use a torque wrench. I PROMISE YOU WILL BREAK IT. you may have to get a breaker bar instead of a 1/2in drive ratchet. im still looking for a pic of an f23 engine. Did you ask honda where to check the timing on your car?

Checking base timing is just like on any other 4 banger I've fooled with - there's a mark on the crank pulley and a mark on the timing cover. Engine timing is easy enough as well. I'm gonna try a few more things today and see what happens.

You can loosen the crank pulley by holding the outside of the pulley still (we used an old belt) and turn the crank bolt using a 3 ft. cheater bar. You need a LOT of torque. Use a 3 ft. or longer bar and turn that bar real good to loosen it. It's pretty hard even with air tools and you definitely don't want to use air tools to tighten the aluminium crank pulley. They'll deform using air tools so again, use a long bar to tighten the crank bolt.
