Default Doe-c conversion?

My homie was tellin me that theres a way to convert his civic (some B series motor) to DOHC and gain about 50hp doing it....now if he can do that, shouldnt i be able to convert my SOHC engine to DOHC too? I was wondering, cuz that would be a hell of a lot cheaper then turboing my car, and i could still buy a head package and gain another 50 horse, and dont forget the turbo after that--whew, my shit'll be hella hot!

they talk about it in the hybrid fourms here and there... your friend is probably talking about swaping heads, ex -the H23 DOHC head onto an F22 bottom... that would be a SOHC to DOHC converstion.

NO, unless you did a lot of custom work, but thats like playing Honda engineer. You can only switch between the same series engines. F to F H to H B to B

I don't think anyone has done a SOHC to DOHC conversion. I have heard of non-vtec to Vtec but not SOHC/DOHC. The only F that has dohc is the S2k but that probably wouldn't bolt up. And even if it did good luck finding one.

Also I don't think you will get 50hp no matter what you do.
