Help New Overheating ?'s
Yesterday my ride was buggin out, it started to heat up a little to much
. So I pulled over and popped the hood, only to come find out
1. the coolant was all gone & dried up
2. the fuse for the fans was burnt out
3. the fan closest to the passenger side was completely melted
I was about 45 minutes from my crib so i let it cool off, replaced the fuse, filled it up with coolant and boogied. When i got home the coolant level was way down and the fuse was burnt out again.
Now here is my questions
has anyone's fan ever melted? Why did this happen or how... anything other than heat.... I never heard of this or seen it.
As far as the coolant missing and the fuse being burnt .... Is this because one of the fans was damaged?
I'm waiting for a new fan and motor in the mail, but wondering if i should start looking for a new radiator?

You pretty much answered your own question. If one of the fans is melted, then it's not going to spin like it's supposed to. This causes increased amperage draw, the fuse can't handle it, and it pops. Replace the fan, then the fuse, and you're all good to go.
