Default Trunk base

The trunk base of my car is horrible. The carpet back there has bleach stains all over it which must have ran through and messed up the trunk board. The board is just...usless, it barely holds and has stains all over it. I need a new carpet to put back there as well as a trunk board. Where can I find this stuff?

Well the trunk board is masonite and can be found at Home Depot, but in just larger sheets that would have to be cut down. The simplest way to do things is just go to a junk yard and get whatever you need there. The cost will actually be cheaper to get the carpet and board there over anywhere else. I know with my Accord too that the carpet runs all the way to the top of the backside of my backseat, so replacing the carpet could be somewhat complicated.

I created a custom floorboard for my trunk. Actually measured it out and cut it out of 3/8ths plywood. It has a lil hinged door to get the spare tire out and custom bordering to hold my sub box. next floorboard i make will use the wheel well as a custom sub enclosure. It was a lil complicated though, as nothing is centered in the trunk. each side has different measurements.

i think its pretty easy to do a custom floorboard for your trunk. i mean you already have the shape you need to cut the new piece from your existing floorboard. just get some wood from your local home depo or lowes and cut it to shape according to the original. spray some adhesive to it and lay a layer of trunk carpeting to it and your all done. im also planning to do i fiberglass enclosure in my wheelwell for a sub this summer and im planing on making my own custom floorboard for a stronger support for things in my trunk. im going to have a hole to showcase the subwoofer and add plexiglass to the top of the sub enclosure so nothing fall onto the sub. maybe run some hidden neons to make the plexiglass glow as well. just get creative...
