Don't use Jiffy Lube!!!!! A lot of cars I service that have been to Jiffy Lube...have ended up needing new oil pans, because they use air tools to remove and reinstall the drain plug, and end up screwing up the threads to where the pans leak oil, and the plug will no longer tighten. Buy honda filters and do it yourself, it can't be THAT hard....

Good god why anybody would take their car to a place to get their oil done is beyond me. They don't even change ur oil filter and charge twice the cost of getting oil AND the filter urself. Buy a set of ramps (i assume you have tools...) and do it urself. The cost of those ramps will be offset by the money u save from doing ur first 3 oil changes urself. A specially fitted plastic socket, or a strap wrench will help with oil filter removal. I don't like filter wrenches on my 4th gen accord, getting them on and cinching them down takes up space my engine compartment ain't got.

:werd: It's so much easier to just reach up in there with some sort of towel or rag to give you a little extra grip and unscrew it yourself.

As for actually changing the oil, do what schmidy said. Use the search function, or hell I bet some of your friends know how to do it! Maybe your dad?

i read the manual and it says use 5W-20, but when i did the search I think almost everybody was using 5W-30... that mobil 1...

is this just the model difference? or 5W-30 is just better than 5W-20?

is doing it at home easy?

heat it up -> lift -> take old filter out? and drain oil out -> put new filter back in -> put oil in -> DONE?

thats it??? and how do u guys dispose used oil????????
it goes
heat it up -> lift -> open refil cap -> drain oil, then close oil -> Remove filter -> then drain oil again, then close -> put on new filter -> refil w/ new oil -> drive off and let run for a few mins to check for leaks

just the way i do it just to make sure nothing drips out of filter if there is excess
