head swap
I have a jdm f22b dohc. I found out that this is the replacement motor for the h23. My question is will the h22 vtec head fit on the f22b or will I have to put the f20b vtec head on it. All of these are dohc and any replies can be useful. The f22b is a prelude si non vtec.

I did some research on this a while back and I found out that F is to F and H is to H etc. I believe it would be too much hastle to swap with different series. Everything is possible, but it wouldn;t be a bolt in job.

From what i've read there is f22b DOHC.
The accord engine he has is a f22b1 vtec SOHC engine a H23 or even H22 are DOHC and the block are just a bit bigger and shape different. I done alot of research on this because I wanted to do the same swap but like blackmagic said you can do anything with money but for the price youll pay the swap series heads might as well just pay to do the whole swap and get a stronger bottom end for that head.
If this is what youre talking about.... you can read all about it on this 12 page thread--its full of info on how this dude is doing it right now to a F22b2 block+H22a1 head, F22 VTEC, F22B/VTEC. http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=776837
