Default Looking for inexpensive suspension.

1986 Accord DX. Not looking to slam my ride but would like it to be a little lower and firmer. Springs and shocks.

New/used/trade... whatever.

TIA!

That's a pretty dated model car you got there. You could try Eibach springs, they might have something available for your car. Try looking at the sponsors corner here at the forums, or try groupbuycenter.com

Springs: eibach has the pro-kit and sportline for you car. Also Intrax, and sprint as well (not as good). If you want coilover, Ground Control cary part for your 86 also.

Shocks: Bilstein, KYB GR-2 (very cheap), and Tokico Blues

Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! This is my daily driver and I want the suspension to be a bit better than what it is. The original suspension has over 100k miles on it!

I'll check out all the sources that was given.

I have a combination on my car of KYB GR-2s and Suspension Techniques springs. The ride is AWESOME, close to a stock 2000 Civic SI and it only dropped the car about an inch. Of course mine is a 94, but if you can find the springs for your car, I recomend them. They were an excelent price (about $150 new) and I seriously feel the ride cant be beat, especially for a daily driven car. The struts were about $250 for all 4 new.

Never EVER go cheap on suspension. What ever you can get, choose it wisely and do it right.

I never said "cheap". I said "inexpensive". This is my daily driver and I'm not looking to put a ton of money into it and I'm not looking to race the thing. I have a 996 sitting in the garage at home if I want to drive a car that handles well and is fast.

Inexpensive means I don't want coilovers or anything more than what a daily driver would require. So if Intrax or some other inexpensive brand will work just as well as the higher end components, then that's fine with me.

Thanks again for everyone's help.

Tein basic coils. When you consider the cost of shocks and springs together the Teins are the way to go.
