Default What performance mods to a 91 Accord?

What performance mods should we start with on a stock 91 Accord? Preferably things we can do on our own since my dad will be helping me get started and he knows quite a bit.

Somone I know reccomended an AEM short ram which on ebay is about $105. What else should I do?

Susepsion first then engine, springs, shocks, strut bar.
Cold air intake, header, cat-back exhaust, pulley kit.

Or just do a swap. THat car has no horsepower, or torque.

I respectfully disagree. The F22a has lots of potential for HP turbo'd and with mild headwork or N/A with cams and increased compression, which can arguably be more cost effective than swapping in a H22 (over $2K usually just for the motor and ECU and tranny).

But you shouldn't expect 25 whp with just an intake, exhaust, and header, no matter who tells you it's possible.

i disagree with the torque part ... my mom has a 91 accord and i love droppin that shit into second and spinnin em around corners

(You know its sad when your 55 year old mom had a stick and you drive an auto and her car is probably faster than yours)

Yeah I love the AEM RAM Intake that I put on my '92. I got mine for 90 bucks shipping included from www.sounddomain.com

def go with intake (maybe even cai), then suspension, but do it right, then headers and exhaust.

suspension is pretty easy as long as you have time and dont rush it, i rushed the first strut and ended up missing a bushing and a washer in the setup, stripped the top screw, finally ripped the nut out, re-assembled and installed. that wasted an extra hour, make sure you double check everything and memorize the instuctions. im a DIY guy also, and have done almost everything myself, including tint today.

yea suspension is easy, but just make sure you do some research before you start....some rush into it and buy cheapo springs and struts and regret it in the end. also consider getting a camber kit to adjust for the camber...saves you a lot of money in tires

if u get front/rear strut bars and rear sway u will love how ur car handles...at least, in comparison...but if u spend that much money and a lot more on i/h/e and don't feel great power gains then ur not gonna be too happy...so yeah get some cheapo strut bars and ST sways

I'd definitely say your little f22a haS alot of potential. I personally would go suspension first if I could start again (I went for minor engine upgrades and a couple of things that I don't really need...).
