Type-R front grille
I'm thinking of buying a type-r front grille for my 94 accord from autodynamic.com
Does anyone have any experience with autodynamic's grille? Does it fit right and look decent?
Also, can someone give me instructions on how to paint a type-r grille? I don't know if the ones from autodynamic come primered and ready to paint or not.
Where is a good place to get my car color paint from cheap? Its R78-P (bordeux red pearl). I know there is some site online that will ship an aerosol can with perfect match paint but its like $20 plus shipping, anywhere cheaper?

imo, making a home made type-r grill from your 94 grill looks the best. the one from autodynamic has a bar across the top and it doesn't look good like that.

Here's my homemade one before:
and after (Cryogen Style )
Painting Stuff I wrote to someone else at HondaSociety:
Basically, just sand it a little to scuff it with a fine grit like 500-1000 or so, so that the paint/primer will stick better. Spray some coats of Auto Primer, spray some coats of your Auto paint, and then some Auto Clear Coat. 5 mins in between the coats of primer, then let it dry for a couple hours. Then 5 mins in between coats of paint. Light coats = no runs. Then let it dry, then do the same w/ the clear coat and let it dry and cure for a good 24 hours. Good luck man, I'm sure it'll come out awesome!

Nice pics. Do you guys think it would be easier to made cryogens homemade grille or buy one from autodynamic and cut off that top bar (if possible)?

the easiest thing to do is buy it from autodynamic. its been on sale for $40 for awhile. cutting the top bar off on it would ruin it, might as well make your own. but if your not good with body work, bondo etc.... just buy one. To modify your oem 94-95 grill, you have to cut things, bondo, sand etc... till it looks almost perfect, then add the mesh.. its a lot of work, not that hard, but patience is the key, and if done right, it will look great. But if done fast, and your full effort isnt put into it, you might as well throw it away. I bought mine off autodynamic while i was gonna be modifying the oem one, but i gave up because im happy with the autodyanmic grill, maybe one of these days ill get around to it. BTW, the modified version of the oem 94-95 grill is a lot stronger than anything you buy aftermarket.
