Default 6 gen camshaft

Is there aftermarket camshaft for F23a1 Sohc vtec? If so, which ones are good? Will an aftermarket cam reduce engine durability?
Thanks for help.

I believe there are no aftermarket camshafts available for the F23 accord.
Honestly I wouldnt even bother getting Cams unless u go F/I.

From my past experiences & from other posts, it messes with your idiling.
So one second your car could sit there idiling at 600rpm, next thing you know it will raise to like 1200 and back down.

To me the idiling isnt consistant so I wouldn't recommend it.

You want power just go NOS.
You spend 5-600 bucks, you get an additional 65hp w/ NOS
spend that money on headers and intake you get what......tops 30hp.

Web cams and Gude both offer SOHC VTEC Accord regrinds.
Crower will also do a regrind for you. Most regrinds run ~$350.00 bucks.

Generally the best regrinds are done when you provide the regrinder your current setup. Intake, Exhaust, Headwork etc.

If the shop doing the work has lots of experience it should turn out well.
I plan on in the future having either Web or Crower regrind my stock cam some winter when my car is stored.

Saying only a FI car can benefit from a cam is bunk, the heart of any good NA setup is the head and cam.

I wouldn't expect 30-50hp from the CAM but a slight increase should be seen, figure 10-15hp which is huge for an NA 4cyl.

There are camshafts for 6 gen accords. This one says it adds 40-58hp, kinda costly, but hey, thats a pretty big boost in power for 1600 bux.

http://www.mmrusa.com/gude.htm

Edit: If you do decide to get it, post back here, and tell me how your car is idling and whatnot, 'cause i havent saved up enough money to get one yet.

1600 is a complete Gude head kit and not a cam.

the web page doesn't specify f23 so u can't be sure they have them.

Also u won't get 30hp from bolt ons as stated above.
