Default is there anyway to

Get a 6 gen to become a 13 second car? even if its high 13's, is there any way to get it there? I've been asking about dropping an h22 in lately, but the response im getting is, it would take a lot of custome fabrication to fit it in my car. So the second route i thought i should take is boost to 7-9psi, and throw a turbo in, but is that safe as a daily driver? Also, people say that you can do other turning to your engine to gain power or what not. One would to buy a vtec controler, and make my vtec engage earlier. But if my vtec engaged earlier would it make any difference? cuz no matter what, im only going to get a certain amount of power out of vtec anyways, right? I was also thinking about n2o, but seeing as im in california, and the juice is super illegal 'round here, thats out of the question. So yeah, any suggestions you guys got, post 'em!

okay, the thing with h22's are they arent realiable at all when it comes to f/i, and im trying to actually have enough time to enjoy my 13 car after its built. Plus it wouldnt be cost effective at all to throw an h22 in a 6 gen accord because of all the custom work that would have to be done.

Also, i want a good looking car, as well as it being fast. So im not going super rice, and guttin' it neither.

I think if you built a h22 and turbo you would be far past 13's. Im guessing mid to low 12's stripped running high boost with slicks.

A h22 with a 55 shot would put you close to high 13's with slicks, i/h/e and tuneing.

And nitrous would be your best bet as you wont have to run it all the time so you can feel "safe" as you said above.

Just about everywhere i read said they werent, actually, youre the second person that has said they are reliable. Only other person (SIGMA CHI GUY) that said they are reliable spent $15,000 on his engine swap/turbo, and im just not ready to spend anything close to that on making my car fast.

you can get away with boosting an H22 with not much engine work if you keep it under 8psi. the problem with the H22 when it comes to boost is the cylinder sleeves. if you boost over 8psi then i'd worry about it not being reliable. if you have it sleeved you should be fine, but that's a chunk of change right there.

I said you wanted your motor to be safe. Well nitrous would be one of your best bets as its not running all the time. I was just giving you a option to hit 13's. If your not willing to spend more then 5 grand dont plan on trying to hit 13's.

That could only be for the h22 swap depending where you go. To run a turbo on high boost on your motor you would have to build it and expect at least 7 grand of doing that plus all the turbo parts tuning and all. If you turbo your stock motor you would spend about 3 grand on the kit and you would have to tune and buy other parts. Nitrous is 500 bucks plus tuning plus other performance parts.

Nitrous is only illegal if you have it activated or your bottle is turned on other wise I beileve cops cant do anything about it.

Just letting you know

Not sure where you got that 5 grand figure, but i never once said that. But i wuold like to keep it cheap as possible, and thats why i was thinking about going with my stock engine, and throwing a turbo in it, running high on boost, and call it a day.

Okay, im not going to get my car yanked, because you, '"believe" cops cant do anything about it'
