first off an intake is nothing more than a pipe with a filter on the end of it ... so dont pointlessly WASTE your money on an aem ... its a ripoff ... and dont use smog as an excuse either it dont take that long to put your stock airbox back on ... just get a generic off ebay youll be happy you saved the money.

If youre worried about storms or driving in an area where water might be a problem find a 2 piece cold air intake system that way you can convert it to short ram and not trip about rain gettin in it

As far as the exhaust is concerned someone else can field that question cause i dont have experience with either brand, but i have a freind with a magnaflow catback on a 95 accord lx and he likes it.

i disagree. we all know how cops like to pop our hoods when we're pulled over, so what if he sees your intake w/o a carb sticker? the cop could be a dick and tow your car on the spot. i'm not going to risk towing my car for saving a couple bucks. just my $0.02.

i personally have the aem cai and apex ws. i like them and i have no probs with them.

WRONG.

a cop does NOT have propable cause to pop your hood (which is essentially searching your car) when you are pulled over

keep the exhaust stock?

If you are into tuning your car do it right or dont do it at all you should be able to proudly have your aftermarket exahust (that sounds tasteful) on and not some stock shit off another car or some weak silencer shit to quiet it down cause youre either

A) somehow ashamed to be associated with import enthuasiasts
B) worried about negative police attention
C) too much of a sissy to listen to the hum on the freeway

and yes this is identical to a post i made in another topic about putting stock rsx exhausts on accords.

From the California Vehicle Code:
2806. Any regularly employed and salaried police officer or deputy sheriff, or any reserve police officer or reserve deputy sheriff listed in Section 830.6 of the Penal Code, having reasonable cause to believe that any vehicle or combination of vehicles is not equipped as required by this code or is in ( ) any unsafe condition as to endanger any person, may require the driver to stop and submit the vehicle or combination of vehicles to an inspection and ( ) those tests as may be appropriate to determine the safety to persons and compliance with the code.

if you have anything that would lead an officer to suspect you have non, CARB compliant modifications... that's all the probable cause he needs.

Hey homeboy not everybody is like you. Keep your opinions to yourself. People want to mod their car the way they want to so let them. Would you like it better if everyone had the exact same set up as you? The world has its differences for a reason.

And for newbb...

AEM and Apex are great companies. You'll rarely hear anything bad about their products going bad. Search it up, itll help you make your decision on what you want.
