Default Engine Swap

I have a 88 accord that is carburated and I wanted to switch it to fuel injection. I was wondering what all has to be done. Also what motor would be best to put in? Most exspensive or least exspensive. Also is it alot of work? Please give me all the details. Thanks to everyone who replies!!!

you can switch your engine (a20a1) from the carburated version to the fuel injected version (a20a3) by goin to your local junkyard and picking off parts from an lxi or sei model. I've heard its a boner of a job because you have to replace the gas tank and a lot of other little annoying things. If you want to do a motor swap...the best and BY FAR the easiest would be a jdm b20a....they drop right into the car because that is what the 3rd gen accord came with in japan. But if you do decide to do this, you will still have to switch your car from carb. to fuel injected to see any real gains. Lastly, if you want to stay carb, and you want carb performance, you can buy a weber carb, which are performance carbs that are made for the 96-89 carbed accords....if you want or need more info on any of the stuff I said pm me or visit www.3geez.com its a great website that has a lot of helpful members and is strictly dedicated to the 86-89(3rd generation(3geez)) accord. I highly recommend it...my u/n on there is 89accordmike. Hope that helps!
