Default engine swap advice

ok basically i need some advice as the subject says,

i'm driving a 94 honda civic lx with a d15b7 engine. my question is should i keep that engine and work on it with cam shafts/ gears/ intakes etc. or should i just swap it with a b16a? i can get the complete b16 engine swap with tranny and engine mounts for whole sale. so yeah...um...what should i do, and is there anything i should be thinking about that i'm not. thanks a lot everyone.

It ofcourse depends on how much time and money you're willing to spend. A swap would be the best route if you're not concerned about money.

huh? you can swap a D16Z6 for pretty cheap and still use the old tranny. You could then build that motor a little and have a nice little car.

Not super powerful, but more than you would with a D15B7

ok...thanks everyone very much for the help. i'll deffenitly be doing the b16a swap then. i can get the whole swap with engine mounts for about $1600 then i finally just found a friend who is a mechanic and will do all my work for free. so i figured that's a good deal. again thanks. i'm sure i'll see everyone around here again soon.

d series are wothless
swap that shit.

it's hard enough modifying a honda, why put yourself at an even bigger disadvantage by modifying a sohc.

get a dohc and mod it to hell.

SiR (first gen B16A) or SiR II (second gen B16A)?

If it is the SiR, I hope you realize there is more work to do then an SiR II swap.
