im plannin on gettin a motor from hmotors probly sometime in the future... anyways my question is can i still swap in the engines that say "Motor, Tranny, ECU" without problems? compared to the "complete changeovers" which are slightly more expensive

 

You can swap the engines, yes, but that's about it. Without axles or an intermediate shaft and all the other little parts, your car is not going to move under its own power until you buy all the other parts that constitue a "complete" swap.

would it be cheaper to just get the complete changeover? or should i get the cheaper deal.. ( what else would i need to purchase)?

 

That means with the "engine, tranny, ECU" package you do not get:

- Axles with Half Shaft
- Shift Linkage
- Stock Motor Mounts

You need those parts, and they are worth the extra $300 IMHO.
