...more work and more parts to buy, so figure a couple hundred more than that at least.

it's a siR I engine that i'm putting in, and why is a siR I harder than a siR II?

It has a cable transaxle and older electronics. You either need a cable to hydro adapter and mount or a hydrolic transaxle, plus you need an OBD-1 distributor and fuel injectors amoung other things.

Given that info, $1600 isn't such a good deal.

Going with the SiR II would be easier and it's rated 10hp more. That would probably be the wiser choice.

hmotorsonline has SiR-II swaps for $2350 with all the fixin's, you might want to make sure your guy provides all the stuff that Hmotors does.

The swap comes with :

Motor
Transmission
Engine Wiring Harness
All required Cables
ECU
Distributor
Complete Intake Manifold
Alternator
A/C
Power Steering Pump
All Brackets and Sensors
Shiftlinkage ($75 extra)

2170 plus shipping

that price is his price...i'd get the whole sale on that. i checked out hmotors but the site was down so i'm not sure if they offer more then my guy.

i got the whole sale price because my friend (who drives an acura integra ls) is a really good web designer and made a deal with www.rimsandthings.com where he'd do their site if he could get whole sale prices. pretty cool deal actually...made me want to become a web designer but then i decided i didn't want to be a complete nerd.
