i forgot no VTEC on 4th gens, the 5th gen EX wires cost more over LX/DX models.

No, Bosch platinums are a regular plug design. I'm not trying to put performance parts in my car, I'm trying to put quality parts in it. I never claimed to want extended plug life either. I'm not about to leave a spark plug in the engine for 100k miles. BTW they are about $3 each. The NGK plugs are $12 because I'm wiiling to bet they are double platinum, which is of no real advanatge. You're just paying extra for some gimmick technology.
