Does the Fuel Injector and Carb Cleaner actually work and help the car. If so what is a good brand. How about putting the Octane Boost in 93 fuel? Good or bad idea?

To get the most out of an octane boost, its best to pump 89 and then pour it in. Carb cleaner wouldn't work on our cars bc we are E.F.I (electronically fueled injected). LOL... I pour in a bottle of Redline complete fuel system everytime I change my oil and it does run noticably better.

BG is great stuff. Most dealers should have it. I get a free one every now and then from a buddy who is a Dodge tech.

Most of these fuel system cleaner, injector cleaners etc. have harsh chemicals that while do clean away deposits will also eat away at the gaskets and seals inside of your motor. I would not use them unless you are having problems. Even then consider getting your injectors ultrasonically cleaned.

Just be sure to stick to good gasoline with detergents in it like Chevron, Amoco, Exxon, etc.
