Default Fluids replacment. URGENT!

I am in desparate need of on oil change, and I was thinking about replacing all my fluids at the same time. I got a bunch of little questions.

--What kind (specifically) of oil should I get? I use 89 gas.

--Is there any need to replace my radiator fluid? If so, what kind is good?

--Is there any other fluide I should drain and replace? If so, what is a good replacement?

--Is there any good fluids I can put in that will kinda clean the interior of the motor up? Clean out the injectors, fuel pump, etc...? Is there a fuel filter that I should replace?

--Lastly, where is the plug located (d16z6) to drain the oil? How long should I expect it to take to change the oil?

Sorry about the amount of questions, but if I didn't think all you smart import owners, couldn't handle it, I would have posted it........somewhere else.

Thanks!

Most people use 5W 30 oil in their cars, but you can use 10W 30 if you are in a warmer climate. Check your washer and power steering fluid levels as well. But you shouldn't really need to drain and replace any of your fluids at all besides your oil.

I use this every 4000 miles. Get a little better gas mileage and the car runs a little smoother as well.

yeah, i use 10W30 and have never had a problem with it. but i live in socal so it doesn't get too cold. for a tutorial of changing your oil, go to http://www.madstatic.com/2k1civic/diy/oilchange/

there's no need to replace coolant ("radiator fluid") unless it's murky, and if it is, there may be other problems that need to be taken care of than just replacing it. you may not need to replace fluids, but you'll definitely want to check the levels. i have an auto, so i have to check the transmission fluid. but you'll also want to keep your eyes on brake and power steering (if you have it).

take the time to check your filters too...any clog or deteriation can kill gas mileage/perfomance...and always replace your oil filter when doing an oil change.

the plug for the oil change should be on the rear side of the engine block, mine (d16y8) has an arrow pointing to "OIL"...remove it and be ready for the oil to start pouring out, so make sure your oil catch pan is positioned properly. and wear some rubber gloves cause you'll undoubtedly get at least a little oil on your hands. drain = 15 mins depending on temp, will probably take an hour to do a clean and thorough job...good luck

I recommend Mobil 1 Synthetic 5w-30 no matter what weather. Synthetic oil keeps it's vicosity (thickness) no matter what temp.

I change my radiator fluid every 20K miles or so. Better sooner than later. I use OEM honda radiator fluid.

You can also prolly flush the brake lines, but this requires two people. I use Valvoline Synpower fluid.

Also can flush the tranny fluid.

I also use a fuel injector cleaner every 4000 miles (or every oil change).

Well, I did my 1st oil change yesterday. Was a breeze really. Got 4 qts of Mobil 1 synthetic, a can of Restore Lubricant and Protector, and a bottle of STP Fuel System Cleaner. Also got a new oil filter, spark plugs, plug wires, cap and rotor.

Now my car runs better than ever!

Thanks guys!

Good job, at least you didn't have to pay to get your oil changed. Waste of $30.
