start with something that at least runs! that h22a is worthless. personally i think you should look for a bone-stock car and do the mods yourself, that is 90% of the fun. you may never be able to fix that $2500 hunk of junk.

generally you spend more money doing that then buying a H22 Accord. so if there are nice ones forsale they are worth looking into. of course you can probably bet that in most cases that motor has been flogged, but at least you know it runs and if they are long time members on a honda board you can put a little more faith in the fact that they are being honest with you on the car. you never know, you may find a gem. i know when i sell my car, whoever gets is getting a great car.

Save the hassle buy my car

But seriously I would walk away from it because as was said if it was a simple fix such as a swap why not do it before you sell the car.

Engine + swap = 3400 (average)
Paint + prep = 800 - $$$$$ if the kit needs repair just keep adding money till the scales start tilting.

didn't mean to discredit you in any way. your car may very well be a great deal when you sell it.

generally speaking, i just think it's safer to do your own mods (assuming you educate yourself on whatever mod you are doing). it gives you a lot more pride in your car too.

I agree but sometimes its less expensive to buy the prebuilt than to do your own (trust me its not cheap building them) and he is obviously looking for something already well on its way or pretty much done from the description of what he is looking at

I was just popping in a shameless plug anyways.
