I have a set of projectors on my 95 accord, and the light pattern from them are not nearly that of stock. There is less light output contact to the road. There is also considerably less brightness to the projectors. I don't know to much on the TYC except that they are known for a good product and great fitment. I am looking at the possibility of having OEM projectors retrofitted into my current projector housings. Has anyone done this, if so is it worth it?

Projectors IMO only benefit visibility if you have HIDs.

pissedpanther... I really like the ones u picked out. I'v heard good things about them.

The HID retrofit is where u buy HID lights that are made for luxury cars and put them into ur projector. There are a few ppl here that did this to their accords. Expect to pay ~$300 for the parts and then u have to be skilled at hacking away.

like he says. I put some Hella bixenons into my 5th gen OEM lights and they are fantastic. The reason why halogen projectors supposedly "suck" is that they spread light evenly onto the ground unlike halogen reflectors that spread the light directly in front of you. The reason why TYC are better is because their projector's reflector is much more reflective than the cheap APC, etc ones! if you have question, i'd be more than glad to help. Just email me at h0lym0th3r0fg0d@aol.com or on AIM at: nj0ywatch1np0rn

projector headlights are worthless without HIDs. beam colour differs only with a bulb change.

if you do a search loxllxol posted pics of the out put on a thread a couple of months ago, he's the one your talking about. he threw a HID kit in the TYCs and the beam pattern was pretty good. I've heard nothing but good things on the TYC projectors. I know someone that can get them for $160. talk to AccordJTStyle on honduh.com, he's got the hookup on them.

here is a link to the thread about the lights.

But u are running HID aren't u? Have u tried them with regular bulbs?

If u are using those bixenon HID's that come with their own enclosed projector than it doesn't matter what u mount them in.
