I'm thinking about getting silverstars on my car, the 9005s and 9006s. Now it was my understanding that the bulbs are direct replacements for the factory ones, or am I mistaken?

If you use 9005 in the 9005 slot and 9006 in the 9006 slot they are direct replacments, there are conversions but those involve moding the bulb housing to get the high beam bulb to fit in the low beam...

naw camry uses a 9005 highbeam and 9006 lowbeam as well. The reason why u would want to do the conversion is to get more light. Basically a cheap solution instead of gettin like HIDs

no, in the 88 camry. they use those types of bulbs, either that or the 9003.

With doign the conversion, are there any problems with over heating? The wires, lamp, ANYTHING? Are the wires that are for the low beam strong enough to run the high beam bulb?

Sorry for the dumb questions.

no no problems...the 9005 bulbs are only 65 watts...if they can run in the high beam they'll be fine in the low beam.
