Default Brake Pad break in

Is there a certain procedure to follow to break in new pads, like no ABS or hard braking for the first few hundred miles?

Yeah, there is a sequence to "bed-in" new pads.

Here's one of many how-to's online: http://www.zeckhausen.com/bedding_in_brakes.htm

great way to explain how to break in pads. I didn't know that when trying to bed-in the pads that its bad to come to a complete stop, but when you think about it...it makes complete sense.
