i heard they had legalality problems and were stopped being imported. i dont know much about the rs*r invidia stuff they got now, never acutally heard an rs*r exshaust system, but i heard the authentic stuff used to be the sh*t.

btw ive got an apexi ws and i love it, its got a quiet but deep rumble. when im WOT i can hear my intake over the exhaust. i like the way it looks, and felt a lil gain. only bad thing is the pipes hang pretty low, especially cuz im dropped.

Thanks for all your comments and input...I guess it comes down to which exhaust I can actually get my hands on now, does anyone know where I could get an authentic RS*R exhaust? If I can't find that, there's not much of a decision to make, huh? Anyone have any leads? Thanks!

i'm almost positive, you will not find a brand new one for a 5th gen accord. i know a few are left for the 4th gens though.

I got my RS*R last year a guy from "Alternative Motors" I think thats what his name is on here is selling the authentic ones, I have the ceramic black and stainless one. Its the best looking exaust IMO. Its hardly noticible and looks really clean and doesnt hang all low and have a giant tip like most aftermarket exausts, and best of all its really deep and quiet so you dont draw attention to your slow car that sounds like its trying to be fast. Look around the forums i think there's a few more RS*R's being sold for the 5th gen.

Flowmaster? I suddenly feel like I'm on the Mustang forum i post on!!! just playin

Anyway dude i painted my muffler black except for the tips and it hid it real nice.. here is a pic after i painted it. i liked the tips so much that i decided to paint it to hide the huge chrom blingbling can.

it hid it pretty well i spose.. some of the paint has come off and i need to do a better job.

Believe me I get hassled all the time for it. I think they get a little more criticism than they might deserve. I believe they may be good for a drag muffler for WOT for 4cyl's. They seem to be made for adding to the upper power band. Other than that it blows. And blows LOUD. Between 2K and 3K up hill is downright annoying, no back pressure, just NOISE. 70MPH on a road trip makes like torture. I need something quiet and stealthy. And something that won't scrape cause we got speedbumps on the highways in PA.

i had flowmasters on my 1995 Mustang GT.. trust me if you think your droning was bad try it on a V8.. between 2-3000rpm it got very tiring on a long trip i replaced them with a borla side exhaust system and sounds much better. flowmasters are a damn good muffler on a naturally aspirated car, but the 2 chambers are very annoying when it comes to drone. im told the 3 chambers are better about this, but rob you of a little power.
