Well, I did my other light yesterday when I got home, it only took me like 10 minutes to do this one. This time I left it clipped, cut it as much as I could, then unclipped it and got some needle nose pliers and twisted and pulled until I got all pieces out. They look pretty sweet, im thinking real hard about painting the signal lens though. You guys think that would look sweet? All red tails except the reverse light which is still gonna be clear. And by the way, my lights came out good, there was a little bit of shavings in there but nothing an airhose couldn't take care of.

congrats man, take it one light at a time. I think all of us who have done it the way you have know exactly what your talking about hehe. I put some tape around the bulb fixture when i did mine so alot of the damage was done to the tape and not the plastic. I read in a post that red bulb, white lens not legal?? Im not sure, haven't been pulled over yet but its only been 1 month. That "orange" piece is PMMA plastic, one of the toughest mothers you will find. (sorry for the FYI, its cuz im a mechanical eng. major) but yea, if I knew that, I might have not done it haha.

I really think its up to you to red out the rest or not, I, myself don't like it too much unless I put more into my cars like rims(prob. here, $$$ lol) b/c I think if its too much red, it'll stand out which is not a bad thing, I'm just going for a subtle look, more cruise and clean, less racing type. Either way, you can't lose. =)

I rear ended a full size Chevy truck on the freeway, messed up my hood, fender, bumper, radiator support and headlight assy. Not to mention footing the $500 repair bill to fix the dudes truck I hit. I have insurance but I didn't want to run it through them, don't want any points on my record or higher insurance premiums so I figured I'd just fix it myself. My girlfriend has a 6th gen Accord so its not like I had to take the bus or nothing. Could you imagine that, me, 26 years old paying for a day pass on the bus? Anyways, I'm still not sure if I want to paint the lens yet, im thinking about it, but haven't made up my mind. I'll let you guys know if I decide to paint them, post pics too
