Mobil 1 Synthetic
Hi, mileage of my car is 75k now,
and I am thinking about going to synthetic.
Is it true that once I go synthetic, I can't go back?
I saw some package deal at Mobil Gas Station,
would this be good deal or where else can i find synthetic oil?

That was about the time i started using M1 in my accord. It made quite a difference form that shite oil that honda was using i the dealership.
At one point that dropped my oil against my wishes and replaced with the crappy stuff. I was pissed, but later just changed it back to mobile one, Ive had no problems. Im not sure how good it was for the car, but nothing bad has happened, and i pushing 100k now.
I actually need to do an oil change. thanks for reminding me.

Me and my freind both just changed to mobil1 full synthetic about a month ago.
I have a 94' accord with 128K on it.
He has a 87' 325 with 160K on it.
No leaks or problems on either, it helps alot with the cold starts thats for sure, probably cut the turn over time in half, and its in the 20's in the mornings here
And no, once you go synthetic you CAN go back. If your worried about it, you can always swtich back, runn 500 miles, and change again to flush it all out. Thats my thoughts on it anyways
But i would recomend the switch i am happy with mine, and i read somwhere that if you swith to a synthetic in your motor and manual tranny, you gain 2-3 WHP...Always a plus

A few years ago I put Mobil 1 in my old '80 Honda CB650. The engine ran smoother, quieter, and I gained 6 mph on the top end. Some people say that you shouldn't put synthetic in a motorcycle because of the wet clutch, but I have had no problems whatsoever, and have switched between synthetic and mineral oils several times. I have Mobil 1 in my '95 Accord V6, as well as my '92 Yamaha FJ1200. It really does make a difference. Plus in cold weather, you can't beat it because the oil stays fluid at -40.
I started running mobil 1 in my 96 accord lx at 6500 miles. I pulled the engine at 190K and was amazed to see that there is almost no wear on on the cam / crank. I consistently got 30mpg(highway). I have run mobil 1 in all my cars, I love it.
On that other hand, my father has a 95EX and has run regular oil since 80k, (130k now) and his car seems super tight.
It depends on your driving style, but if you beat on your accord a little and drive it at high rpms, why not run synthetic? It offers a good amount more protection and isn't all that expensive when you figure in that you don't need to change the oil as much..
just my 2 cents..
