I started running mobil 1 in my 96 accord lx at 6500 miles. I pulled the engine at 190K and was amazed to see that there is almost no wear on on the cam / crank. I consistently got 30mpg(highway). I have run mobil 1 in all my cars, I love it.

On that other hand, my father has a 95EX and has run regular oil since 80k, (130k now) and his car seems super tight.

It depends on your driving style, but if you beat on your accord a little and drive it at high rpms, why not run synthetic? It offers a good amount more protection and isn't all that expensive when you figure in that you don't need to change the oil as much..
