Congrats on the buy...geez, $2500 is a great deal for any car...and a steal for a 5th gen accord. It hella reminds me of my car...

VRGNCD5 gave some great resources...the stuff you're looking for, junkyard is the best place to look. Definitely avoid the dealership if you can.

A/C: if it still blows nice cold air, then the compressor should be fine, if so, then the bogging is due to an old alternator. Alternators shouldn't be too expensive and you can probably replace it yourself.

Can't tell from your engine pics, but I'd suggest getting the car to a trusty mechanic to see if all the necessary maintanence has been done. Fluids, belts, transmission... Even if they say that it's been done, you never know the quality of the last mechanic's work.

As for the chick ricing out the car...do what you can to bring that car back to life. Iono wut the girl was thinking with the tezzas...and that exhaust tips gotta go. (ie. new catback...hehe) The steering wheel looks kinda roughed up...here's a mod I suggest...something I'm lookin to do too, find a 96-97 Acura CL steering wheel and replace it.

Anyway, good luck on the ride...for the year and mileage...it looks like it's in pretty good shape...you've got a nice car to work with!

Does the 96-97 CL steering wheel work with the cruise control? I'd rather drive with the rough wheel than give up my cruise

Here are more pics of it and the engine, now featuring daylight

Ok.... The owner called today and said they found the remote for the alarm and all the original lights The remote only arms/disarms/panics the alarm tho It doesn't have the keyless entry :wtc: but at least it's better than nothing and might save me some insurance

So I have the factory taillights on now and am gonna sell the altezzas... How much should I sell them for?

:eh: I have never heard of a "Gold Accord"...There is no V6 accord that is faster than other V6s of their year...it wouldn't make sense for Honda to change up the factory line just to make a small number of production. Lastly....Klatu's accord is a 4cylinder F22B1 (see engine pics).
