what color did you paint your H Hyde? I can't tell from the pic. Also, did you just spray paint it?

Thats a carbon fiber emblem with the outsides painted body color.
I also painted the chrome trim piece right below the H, and my front grill also. They were all painted body color along with my bottom moldings.

Having all the badges on one side of the car looks unbalanced to me, and I have no dreams on taking on a Viper in my car.

I painted the chrome too since I didnt like that either. It just looks cleaner to me that way.

Did the same to the TL-S too

Hyde,

Im not looking too much into anything, and just because you did those alterations to your pride and joy, that's FINE....I am saying that I have stopped young people on Jericho Turnpike (just the other night in fact), Hempstead Turnpike (up near Tri County) and even on South Park Avenue in Rockville Centre----and have asked them why they cut everyone off in their Honda with shaved emblems...THEY ALL TOLD ME (and they were not related to one another as far as scientifically I could tell) that it's a game of being "anonymous"----they wanted to "shock the Benz driver" (that was just one example, the Benz that is)....other youngsters have told me they NEED people to wonder what kind of vehicle they are "rollin' in"....I kid you NOT about these replies.

The majority of people in the greater New York area -- and this phenomenon was going on and seemed to spawn near the Howard Beach region when my friend lived in Glendale and first pointed it out to me -- were stripping Acuras and Hondas of badging JUST TO GET NOTICED and have the general public stumped into wondering what kind of vehicle the car was----that is just plain stupid and is overcooked rice, no matter how you slice it.

Scotty, I completely agree with you. The only reason I took off my "Accord" and "EX" emblems is the same as Hyde's, I just think it looks cleaner without them. I actually relocated them to the interior pass side of the dash, where I think it looks pretty nice I don't think anyone is gonna wonder what kind of car I have, it's pretty obvious it's an Accord I just want my car to look clean and understated, I think it looks better that way.

Then that's fine. Just as long as it's not for "anonymous" reasons as outlined.

No offense...but why would you even post that?

He asked a question. I was stating that if it is a "badge" type then its removed the same way as others, but some dealers use that sticker thing now. h:

And thats just ridiculous....I hope you are not doing it for that reason...are we to believe ordinary people will not recognize a Honda Accord or Nissan Altima? Do you REALLY think your car is going to be THAT MUCH more anonymous without Honda badging? Do you think it will make it more special?

I keep my "H" on my car so peopel know what just FLEW past them.

Shaving the name badge make the car cleaner.

I dont know where you get the idea that people shave the badging to think they will scare other drivers. Maybe YOU think that way.

But I took the "Accord" "EX" and dealer tag/sticker off my car because it looks claner that way. And as I posted above. I kep teh "H" on the car. I am proud to drive a Honda, so why remove the "H"???

BTW Mr Hyde, That looks sweet man, Nice and CLEAN. I have to say I dont like the blacked out crome though. but it still looks good man.

Look, it doesnt really matter what any of you clowns say with regard to why I asked questions to people at red lights and what the results were; dont get mad because you all know Im right that the reason you all do this is simply to "gain respect" from other drivers; IT'S ALL 100 PERCENT OVERCOOKED RICE, and your Honda wont be any better than the dude in the lane next to your's Viper GT/S or Firebird Firehawk because you removed the badging off the car; it will not, no matter what you argue with me.

Now, for the simple minded lad who suggested----oh, how did you put it----you keep the H on there so people can see how fast you whizzed by them....oh my god, son....you are funny.... Well, it was some comic relief this morning anyway....hope you dont catch that Ferrari Marinello driver at a light one day on the way to work....that "H" is SURE to scare the depends off of him.....
